The Hero and His Friends

Fantasy roguelike

The Hero and His Friends is a fantasy roguelike for PC. You recruit companions and use their Companion Cards to fight enemies and shape your adventure.

Card battles

Each round compares a random stat. Every companion has abilities that change the rules of combat, so building a team means choosing companions whose effects can shape how battles play out. The game’s combat centers on those stat comparisons and changing rules.
