Sea Days

Sailing across a true-scale world

Sea Days is a PC sailing game about taking an ocean-going cruising sailboat from port to port across a world map recreated at true scale. You choose a home port, cast off, and pick routes through coastal waters and out into the open ocean. Each port you reach opens access to farther stretches of sea, from equatorial atolls to northern fjords.

Wind and current affect your passage, and sailing requires adjusting to the wind. Point too close to it and the sails lose their drive, slowing the boat. Bear away and they fill again, the boat heels, and speed returns. You handle the boat yourself, from easing a sheet off the winch to taking the wheel out of the harbor. As you sail, you get to know its quirks.
