Rune Runners

Co-op platforming on one screen

Rune Runners is a 3D action platformer for PC, playable solo or with two players in local co-op on one screen. You choose from four young mages and travel through eight worlds to relight the rune torches that keep their magic alive, clear out monsters and open portals. Every level is designed for two players, with some spots requiring both to act at once. You can revive your partner if they go down, then reach the portal together. Playing alone, you can use any mage.

Mage spells and obstacles

Each mage has a different spell. Water pushes monsters back and puts out flames; fire burns through thorn vines. Thunder jumps from one monster to another and charges pylons, while wind blows flying monsters back and spins wind fans. Hidden places can only be opened with the right element, so exploring with different mages can uncover more of a level.
