Game premise and mechanics

RIPGRAZE is a short arcade score-attack game set in a changing underwater environment. You control a character that flips gravity with a click or space bar, navigating through reefs and jellyfish. The main goal is to graze close to various obstacles to collect power and charge an ability called OVERDRIVE. This charged state allows you to multiply your score while experiencing slowed time and inversion of the game world.

Scoring and progression

Success in the game heavily relies on grazing. If you fail to graze, your character stalls, which impacts your ability to score points. You can play through the same loop across three difficulty settings: Easy, Normal, and Hard. Each setting presents a challenge with a different intensity but maintains the same gameplay loop. Players have three lives and can instantly retry after a failure, allowing for quick runs.
