Reminiscence in the Rain

The Heart of Reminiscence in the Rain

ハルジオンは雨と咲く, known in English as Reminiscence in the Rain, is an emotional visual novel centered around themes of memory, loss, and the passage of time. Released on December 31, 2023, for PC, this narrative-driven experience invites players to navigate intricate relationships and uncover the mystery of Yuika Aoi, a girl who vanished under mysterious circumstances during the protagonist’s first year of college.

A Story of Loss and Discovery

The tale begins with Yuika's last words, "Let's go away together." Two years post-disappearance, a phone call shatters the silence: Yuika has been found. As players unravel the story, they are drawn into the fabric of a small town steeped in legends, particularly that of "the town of mermaids." Each revelation raises questions about identity and the ties that bind people, making players ponder the essence of memory itself.
