Radial Chess

A Familiar Game in an Unfamiliar Shape

Radial Chess reimagines the classic game of chess through an innovative radial board design. Maintaining the complete ruleset of classical chess, it preserves every strategic element players love while shifting the fundamental visual structure. Expect to engage in familiar tactics, all while adjusting to a curved play space that alters your spatial awareness and pattern recognition.

Rethinking Chess Strategy With New Geometry

Chess strategies such as openings, pins, and discovered attacks remain intact but are now framed within a unique radial structure. This transformation means that traditional positional awareness must be rebuilt as players navigate curved ranks and files. What once felt instinctual now requires thoughtful analysis, adding a refreshing layer of challenge to each match.
