Unraveling a Dark History in Pentiment

Pentiment sets players in the tumultuous landscape of 16th century Bavaria, where a tale of intrigue intersects with personal choice. As Andreas Maler, a skilled illustrator, you will navigate through a web of murder and conspiracy that spans twenty-five years. Every decision you make steers the narrative, shaping not only the fate of individuals but the entire community of Tassing and the nearby Kiersau Abbey.

A World Inspired by Historical Masterpieces

The game’s aesthetic draws heavily from the illuminated manuscripts and early printed works of the time, creating a stylized artistic environment that serves as more than just backdrop. Each scene is crafted to echo the methods of master artists, providing a tangible connection to its historical roots. The blend of vibrant visuals and narrative depth invites players to explore an era characterized by considerable change.
