Underground horror

佩尔霍宁 is a PC adventure game that mixes micro horror, shooting and puzzle solving. You play as LXNS, a white-haired girl who runs the Snow Cafe. After an unexpected incident on the way to return a gift to her sister Fudge, LXNS explores an underground world called “perhonen,” where she encounters things that defy common sense and enemies much larger than she is.

Exploration and story

The story uses a visual novel-style format, with linear and nonlinear narration woven into puzzle-solving sections. You investigate scenes and interact with nearly all their objects, including buildings. Finding some key items depends on examining the surroundings. A backpack holds collected items, weapons and notes that point toward where to go next.
