Nepenthe

Unraveling Memory in Nepenthe

In Nepenthe, players awaken as a mysterious bald figure with no recollection of the past. Set in the bizarre realm of Carithia, this hand-drawn RPG blends whimsical art with an absurd sense of humor. Engage with quirky characters and confront surprisingly polite monsters, all while battling through chaotic bullet-hell combat. The absurdity of the scenario unfolds comically as you piece together your identity amid the chaos.

Quirky Characters and Awkward Humor

The world of Nepenthe is populated by an assortment of creatures that challenge both your combat skills and your sense of dignity. With a playful tone, the game leaves a lasting impression; you may find yourself questioning the madness of it all while chuckling at the well-crafted dad jokes scattered throughout. The developer encourages a lighthearted approach, suggesting a calming of nerves with chamomile tea, a running gag that emphasizes the game’s oddball appeal.
