Mai Petite Saigon

An animated graphic novel

Mai Petite Saigon is a 240-page graphic novel adapted as an animated read for PC. You read the story rather than play a game: pages appear at their own pace, with speech bubbles shown one at a time. Music, sound effects and silences accompany the reading without covering the artwork.

Mai-Anne is 26, has a PhD in mathematics and a black belt in aikido, and has spent years learning piano. Her family sees her as the perfect daughter, but she thinks of herself as an impostor who slips into the person others expect her to be. When her younger brother Minh disappears, she leaves home with a sketchbook, her plush Coco Pouf and some mandarins, taking the name Yu Mikan.
