Looping combat

LOOPLINE is a top-down survivors-like for PC where your ship attacks by drawing a neon trail. Cross your own path to snap it shut: a golden lasso traps enemies inside, which burst in a chain from the outside in. Larger loops trap more enemies and deal up to four times the damage, but keep you exposed for longer.

You can draw a figure eight to close two loops back to back, or use your ship’s ability to finish a loop’s last stretch. Closing loops one after another builds a chain and raises your score multiplier. Enemies call for different shapes and timing: Cutters slice trails, Bulwarks need two loops to lose their shields, and Twinlinks must be caught together. A Nucleus collapses only when trapped with its escorts; other enemies include Snares, which coil around you, and Jellies, which must be caught as they breathe out.
