Linebound invites two players into a hand-drawn puzzle platformer, setting the stage for a unique co-operative experience. One player assumes the role of the Artist, responsible for crafting platforms in real-time. Meanwhile, their partner controls Sketch, a playful character navigating a vibrant sketchbook universe. Together, they must communicate effectively to solve each puzzle and reach all exits, creating an interactive environment where art and gameplay intertwine.

Asymmetric Co-Op Gameplay That Sparks Communication

From the outset, Linebound highlights its asymmetric gameplay mechanics. The Artist operates from an external view, manipulating platforms with precise strokes on a sketchbook page. Sketch, on the other hand, jumps, dodges, and weaves through the platforms. This dynamic creates a reliance on communication; artists must listen closely to their partner's needs while Sketch shares insights on the challenges ahead. Only through teamwork can they overcome the whims of the living sketchbook.
