Learning by listening

Language Lab is a PC language-learning game built around listening and watching rather than starting with written instruction. You watch and listen to what a lesson tells you, then experiment with objects in the lesson to work out what to do. The approach is modeled on how children learn their first language.

Lesson approach

At the beginning, lessons avoid reading, multiple-choice exercises and grammar explanations written on a blackboard. Instead, you try to understand spoken directions through the objects and actions in each lesson. The game is aimed at building comprehension and communication through practice.
