Kaimeishi

A Game of Names: Welcome to Kaimeishi

In Kaimeishi, players are thrust into a world where unusual names harbor magical power. As a name-changer, players battle against name-obsessed spirits to survive until morning. You'll employ the unique mechanics of the game, turning the typical action-adventure genre on its head. Your goal? Use the power of names to eradicate pesky yokai that threaten your existence.

How to Conquer Yokai with Names

At the heart of Kaimeishi is the singular item known as the “改名札” or renaming slip. This crucial tool allows players to change a yokai's name to something more rare, thereby dispelling it. The challenge lies in predicting which names are considered rare enough to succeed. Each slip you use signals your fate; expend them wisely to ensure your survival throughout the night.
