Encounter Family Secrets in In The Foundations

In The Foundations is a horror visual novel that delves into themes of family, loss, and the weight of generational duties. Players assume the role of Taylor, who returns to their childhood home after their father's unexpected death. The game builds on the eerie atmospheres of titles like Hereditary and Layers of Fear, leaving players to grapple with haunting memories and unsettling presences that linger within the walls of the family house.

A Haunting Return to the Family Home

Upon Taylor's return, they are immediately confronted with a familiar yet sickening sensation, a feeling that compels them to question their family's history and their own memories. Although nothing overtly traumatic occurred in the house, the emotions tied to this space create an almost allergic reaction in Taylor. The task ahead is daunting: clean out the house while peeling back the layers of latent family secrets.
