我反对这门亲事-I'm against this marriage

A Family's Struggle in 我反对这门亲事

In 我反对这门亲事, players dive into the life of Guonong Xiao, a father facing a whirlwind of crises. At 43, his carefully structured life implodes: his wife files for divorce, he loses his job, and his daughter becomes romantically involved with a "kept man" demanding a staggering dowry. Set out on a journey to reclaim family harmony as Xiao battles against these challenges, navigating love, deception, and financial woes on the PC.

The Money-Making Dilemma

Integral to the game’s narrative is its money-making system, providing players with various avenues to accumulate wealth. Options include becoming a market vendor, earning profits through savvy merchandise reselling or taking on various jobs. However, players beware: job hunting may expose you to scams that leave your character poorer both financially and emotionally. Each pathway contributes to the larger goal of gathering 400,000 yuan for your daughter's dowry or accumulating enough evidence to expose the machinations of her questionable partner.
