ICARUS.1

Rediscovering the Abandoned ICARUS.1

ICARUS.1 presents a haunting journey through a decades-old abandoned space station. Players navigate the eerie confines of this once-thriving outpost, where the crew is missing in action and secrets lie waiting. A winner of the 2015 Edge Magazine "Get into Games" contest, the game evokes nostalgic feelings reminiscent of classics like System Shock and Half-Life. The atmosphere sets the stage for an adventure steeped in mystery and corporate cover-ups.

The Weight of Abandoned History

The ICARUS.1 was instrumental in mining operations within the outer planets, serving both as a research facility and storage unit for valuable resources. Orbiting its local sun, it fulfilled its duties efficiently until communication abruptly ceased. As players delve deeper into the station, they uncover not just lost minerals but fragments of a story that was never fully told, adding layers to its history and lore. Mothballed by JME Corp, the station’s operational end leaves questions swirling around its fate.
