A Haunting Folktale in Howl

In Howl, a turn-based puzzle/tactical game for PC, players are thrust into a dark, fairy-tale world plagued by a mysterious curse. Known as the "howling plague," this affliction transforms those who hear it into feral beasts, spreading chaos and hunger across the land. The central character, a deaf Heroine, is uniquely protected from this dread. Players will navigate a twisted landscape, strategically combatting monstrous foes while uncovering the lore of a land stricken by despair.

Tactical Combat that Challenges the Mind

Gameplay revolves around turn-based tactical combat, requiring players to outsmart various types of wolf-like creatures. Each beast presents unique challenges, demanding careful planning and strategic foresight. The Heroine's abilities allow her to foresee enemy movements, enabling her to plan up to six steps ahead. Players can experiment with a diverse arsenal of arrows, including lightning, explosive, and piercing shots, while also utilizing special techniques like Smoke Bombs and Shadow Step's Invisibility to turn the tide of battle.
