In Hostile Boards, the battlefield consists of two interlocking layers that constantly shift. Each chess piece acts as a key to unlock these layers. Pieces used to access the first layer become Bound, anchoring it in place while you solve the next configuration with whatever options you still have. Tactical thinking is crucial, manipulating how you deploy each piece to maximize captures and maintain an effective board presence.
