Game premise and objectives

Grief Trigger is a PC game that combines elements of exploration, puzzle-solving, and bullet hell combat. In the game, you play as Azrael, accompanied by a character known as The Ghost. The narrative is inspired by the developer's personal experiences with grief, guiding players through a journey to confront and transform painful memories into nostalgic ones. Your main objective is to explore your hometown in search of grief triggers that distort your memories of your late father.

Combat and puzzles

The game integrates bullet hell mechanics, which involve evading projectiles while navigating through challenging environments. You must survive various combat scenarios where enemies will bombard you with attacks. In addition to combat, the game includes puzzles that require critical thinking to unlock memories and progress. Each encounter and puzzle aims to shift your perception of grief, making memories feel less painful.
