Go

Game modes and online play

Go is a strategic board game available on PC that allows players to engage in matches on 9×9, 13×13, or 19×19 boards. You can play using either Chinese or Japanese rules, with options to configure komi and fixed handicap settings. The game includes a local AI that you can challenge at various strengths and styles, or you can participate in local two-player matches. For online play, the game connects through the OGS lobby, where you can initiate games or spectate, requiring an OGS account and an internet connection.

Learning and practice

You can improve your skills by following a structured learning path covering the basic rules, capturing stones, connection strategies, life and death scenarios, full game play, and review sessions. Interactive problems provide a way for you to practice, and hints along with alternative solutions become available after incorrect moves, allowing for self-directed learning.
