The Lore Behind the Gameplay Mechanics

Set in Japan's Tohoku region, the narrative unfolds against a backdrop of mythical yōkai, spirits that are reimagined as charming characters. Long ago, these spirits fell victim to an ancient evil, sealed away to protect the land. However, that seal is weakening. As the head of the shrine, your mission is to purify areas of corruption while rescuing yōkai trapped in darkness. Each character has a backstory, adding depth to your quest.
