Ganryu 2 : Hakuma Kojiro - PS4

Journey Through Feudal Fantasy Japan in Ganryu 2

Ganryu 2: Hakuma Kojiro is a hack'n'slash adventure set in a richly detailed feudal Japan, rooted in the legendary tale of Miyamoto Musashi. Following the events of the original 1999 NEOGEO title, players once again step into Musashi's sandals, navigating a world filled with danger, vivid landscapes, and relentless spirits. The quest to confront the vengeful spirit of Sasaki Kojirō takes players on a thrilling journey across the archipelago.

The Story Behind the Legend

The narrative unfolds after Musashi's initial victory over Kojirō, where he retreats to meditate in Hokkaido. His tranquility is shattered when he is contacted by the spirit of his past rival, promising revenge. This sets in motion a quest that propels Musashi southward, bringing him back to Ganryū-jima, the site of their infamous duel. Players face not just physical challenges, but the ghostly remnants of past battles that haunt Musashi.
