Eschalon: Trilogy

The Eschalon trilogy

Eschalon: Trilogy is a PC bundle of three single-player, old-school role-playing games: Eschalon: Book I, Book II and Book III. In Book I, you travel through outdoor areas and dungeons while trying to uncover who you are. The games share a classically inspired RPG approach built around turn-based movement and combat.

Character building and combat

In Book I, you shape your character by choosing from 24 skills and developing eight base attributes. Those choices affect your actions, and the world doesn't scale to match your character, so how you build them influences the difficulty you face. Combat is turn-based and proceeds at your pace: you can move quickly or take time to consider skills, equipment and magic. Results are rolled, calculated or statistically determined rather than decided by rapid button presses.
