Game premise and mechanics

Died in the Tower Again is a roguelike game where you play as an apprentice mage trapped in a tower that resets after each death. The primary objective is to ascend the tower by surviving each floor, defeating bosses, and improving your character with each run. Death does not erase progress: unlocked floors remain accessible, and gold accumulated is retained for future attempts.

Progression system

You manage skills through a level-up system, choosing one of three options: a new elemental spell, an upgrade, or a stat increase. Each set of floors includes a boss, culminating in a unique gate boss every tenth floor, which presents its own challenges and abilities. You must navigate hazards and defeat these bosses within a set time to continue climbing.
