ABOUT THIS GAME
Build Your Mech in Core Reset
In Core Reset, players step into a challenging bullet-hell mech survivor extraction-looter on PC. Construct your mechanical avatar from salvaged parts, navigate through hostile sectors, and make strategic choices about when to extract. Each mission pits you against swarming enemies and formidable strongholds, packed with high-stakes objectives and opportunities for enormous loot. The thrill doesn't just lie in combat—it’s in the constant tension between risk and reward.
Customize with Salvaged Parts
Each mech begins its journey with a Core. From there, players can attach a variety of parts: Bodies, Legs, Arms, Shields, and an arsenal of Weapons and Gear. The parts you salvage come in different qualities and effectiveness, sometimes transforming your strategy mid-mission. Stack shields for extra defense, equip destructive lasers or shotguns, and fine-tune your build by swapping parts between missions. The modular customization allows players to experiment and adapt continuously.
Tactile Combat Awaits
Unlike many survivor games, Core Reset doesn’t put your mech on autopilot. You are in control, aiming weapons, managing ammunition, and repositioning to evade swarms. Each weapon affects combat differently—energy weapons keep firing even when you run out of ballistic rounds but demand patience. Choose your build wisely; the armament you equip defines your approach to challenging encounters and your chances of survival.
Explore the Branching Sector Map
In Core Reset, each deployment is chosen from a branching sector map that reveals objective details, threat levels, and potential rewards. Missions vary widely from combat to survival scenarios, strongholds, and boss encounters. Sometimes, opting for a safer route can bring you to a merchant, allowing you to buy, sell, or refit your mech before plunging back into danger. Advancing through the map turns up tougher enemies and better loot as you extract deeper.
Extraction is Your Call
Completing an objective earns a mission's full reward, but players can depart early with loot already gathered, though missing out on bonus objectives. Holding out longer could yield better salvaged parts. However, waiting to call for your dropship triggers Convergence, ratcheting up enemy reinforcements as your ship approaches. You’ll need to maintain control over the extraction zone until the drop arrives—let it slip, and you might have a fight for survival on your hands.
Hub: Your Base for Progression
Back at the Hub, it’s time to optimize your mech or trade for Credits. Successes in missions mean salvaged parts can refine your build, but any defeat could cost you that hard-earned momentum. The game allows for permanent character progression, while your current run build—unchanged after defeat—must be salvaged strategically. The balance between upgrading and selling parts for Credits adds an extra layer of tactical decision-making.
Strategy Meets Action in Core Reset
With a diverse set of missions, a rich customization system, and engaging tactical gameplay, Core Reset captures the essence of survival-action gaming on PC. Collect loot, craft the mech of your dreams, and face the consequences of your choices in this fast-paced environment. In every run, tension builds as you push your combat skills and decision-making to their limits. Adapt quickly, plan thoughtfully, and emerge victorious.
