Cast or Pass

The Magic of Cast or Pass Competitions

Cast or Pass transforms spellcasting into a competitive frenzy. This PC title began as a passion project from a game jam and quickly evolved into a dynamic multiplayer experience. Players select a character from a roster, armed with a pre-built deck of spells, and engage in real-time battles against friends. The game sets itself apart with balanced mechanics that weigh the power of spells against their casting time, creating a constant strategic push and pull.

Strategic Depth in Spellcasting

In battles, each player's deck is only shuffled once at the start, allowing players to strategize based on their opponents' moves. Timing becomes critical as savvy players exploit moments when their rivals lack defensive spells. Throwing out devastating attacks at just the right moment can turn the tide. As players progress, they learn to balance raw aggression with strategic placement, rewarding patience and cunning over mindless button-mashing.
