Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007)

Game overview

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter that focuses on a contemporary military conflict. Players control characters through a narrative-driven campaign that combines multiple storylines. You play as Sgt. Paul Jackson of the U.S. Marines 1st Force Recon and Sgt. 'Soap' MacTavish of the British 22nd SAS Regiment.

Campaign structure

This installment deviates from earlier games in the series, which featured three country-specific campaign styles. Instead, the game offers a more film-like plot that intertwines the perspectives of both playable characters. This narrative structure enhances the complexity of the story and player engagement, as events unfold across different contexts and settings.
