Beyond the Door

Setting and premise

Beyond the Door is a first-person horror adventure game set inside a research facility. Players awaken in this unfamiliar location with limited resources, including a lab coat, a keycard, and tools. The goal is to find a way to escape through a sealed exit door, marked as "EXIT," which has been barricaded with wooden boards, chains, and other obstacles.

Gameplay mechanics

In the game, players will search for items such as a crowbar, higher-level keycards, and a chain cutter to remove the seals on the exit door. Exploration is key; players navigate the dimly lit facility with a flashlight, discovering various rooms and documents as they progress. Players need to restore power to different sections of the facility while gathering information to piece together the backstory of the location and its experiments.
