Bernie Needs Love

A Journey with Bernie in a Lighthearted Platformer

Bernie Needs Love is a whimsical take on the classic platformer genre, where players navigate the charming yet hazardous streets of a neglected city alongside Bernie, an elderly gentleman on a quest for love. Escaping the ever-looming presence of death, Bernie must dodge various obstacles while collecting blue 'love-enhancing' pills to ensure a night to remember. This game offers a satirical exploration of serious social issues wrapped in engaging gameplay.

Retro Aesthetics with a Modern Twist

Visually, Bernie Needs Love is a love letter to retro gaming, showcasing lo-fi graphics that hark back to the 8-bit and 16-bit eras. Combining the distinctive color palettes of the CPC, C64, and NES, the game's charm is enhanced by its evocative chiptune soundtrack. The music is crafted using authentic synthesizers, capturing the essence of the hardware from nostalgic gaming consoles while providing a modern, upbeat feel.
