Areteion

An Intriguing Take on Card Strategy: Areteion

Areteion is a fresh twist on the CCG genre that immerses players in the depth of Greek mythology. With over 600 cards and more on the horizon, the game invites you to explore various facets of ancient Greek life. Instead of the typical card battles, Areteion combines elements of 4X strategy and RTS gameplay on a 2D board, providing players with interesting decisions, long-term planning, and the thrill of multiple victory paths.

Embrace the Myths: Multiple Strategies Inspired by the Gods

Greek mythology serves as the backbone of Areteion’s gameplay. Each of the 12 Olympian gods offers unique strategies. Players can utilize a Demeter deck to maximize farming, an Artemis deck for hunting, or a Poseidon deck for naval exploration. The game boldly emphasizes that victory can come from various avenues, be it agriculture, combat, or trade, driving home that life in ancient Greece encompasses much more than mere conflict.
