Outlast: Whistleblower

Deepening the Horror: Outlast: Whistleblower

Outlast: Whistleblower expands upon the harrowing narrative established in its predecessor, Outlast, pushing the boundaries of survival horror even further. The DLC invites players to delve into the twisted corridors of Mount Massive Asylum once more, but from the perspective of Waylon Park, a software engineer entangled in the dark machinations of the Murkoff Corporation. This chilling backstory unfolds as you uncover the events that not only shaped Park’s fate but also foreshadow the horrors faced by journalist Miles Upshur.

Unraveling Mount Massive’s Dark Secrets

In this gripping expansion, players navigate the suffocating atmosphere of Mount Massive several weeks after Waylon Park has become ensnared in its malevolent operations. Restrictive security measures isolate him from the outside world, rendering him helpless and desperate. The survival horror genre reaches new heights as you must evade grotesque experiments and navigate treacherous environments, all while trying to piece together the narrative threads that lead to the asylum’s horrific conclusion.
