Historical Context of War Tactics

Players encounter an era where foot soldiers like Flemish spearmen and Scottish warriors proved their worth at pivotal battles such as Courtrai and Bannockburn. In this age, the English longbowmen took center stage, demonstrating how massed ranged attack combined with dismounted knights could alter the course of battles, especially during the tumultuous Hundred Years War. Strategic thinking here includes understanding the impact of terrain and troop types, enhancing the depth of the gameplay.
