Crusader Kings III: By God Alone

A religious expansion for Crusader Kings III

Crusader Kings III: By God Alone is a PC expansion for Crusader Kings III focused on religious life and church politics in the medieval era. You manage rulers trying to follow their faith’s tenets while dealing with church authorities, religious debates, and disputes over the limits of crown and Papal power. The expansion requires the base game.

The church and its rulers

You can play landed theocracies, including realms led by an archbishop or the Pope. As the Papacy, you gain access to new sources of power and wealth. The Pope can appoint cardinals across Christendom, while secular rulers can influence those appointments and the Church’s direction. You can also use clerical characters as puppets to act on your behalf, and contend with archdioceses whose religious authority covers regions independently of secular borders.
