Scenic Operations Along the Kiel-Lübeck Railway

Train Simulator: Norddeutsche-Bahn: Kiel - Lübeck Route Add-On brings the scenic charm of Schleswig-Holstein directly to your PC. This regional simulation offers players a chance to operate along an 80 km railway, historically significant since its inception in 1866. The line served crucial ferry routes to Baltic ports and today presents a beautifully rendered experience of a largely untouched journey that remains a haven for diesel enthusiasts.

Rich Historical Context in Every Run

Operating on a mainly single-track, unelectrified line, the Kiel-Lübeck railway stands out among modern routes in Germany. The journey once took up to 150 minutes, declining to just over an hour on today’s regional services. You’ll navigate the same path that hundreds of thousands of passengers have traveled, appreciating the changing scenery from urban centers to tranquil woodlands, all while using authentic locomotives like the DB BR 648 DMU and DB BR 218 diesel.
