Train Sim World 5: BR Class 52 - Xbox One & Series

Experience the BR Class 52 in Train Sim World 5

Train Sim World 5: BR Class 52 invites players to take the controls of one of Britain's most iconic diesel-hydraulic locomotives. With a rich history stemming from the mid-20th century, the Class 52, also known as the “Western,” serves as a nod to the era of mass dieselisation in British railways. Set in the West Somerset Railway, players can relive the rail experience of pulling express services at speeds reaching 90 mph.

A Journey Through History and Engineering

The Class 52's striking design not only captures attention but also showcases the effectiveness of hydraulic power in rail transport. Designed for UK railways in 1955, this locomotive symbolized a significant shift away from steam engines towards diesel operation. Despite its historical importance, the Class 52 struggled against the rise of diesel-electric alternatives, yet today, it thrives on heritage railways.
