In May 16th, 2024 SquareEnix announced they are doing a restructuring strategy to diversify platform releases of major titles and segregate mobile development to one studio out of six. Creative Business Unit III, known for MMOs Final Fantasy XI and XIV — as well as console release Final Fantasy XVI — was renamed to Creative Studio III. This change was shown at the beginning of the FINAL FANTASY XIV Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXXI stream with the new logo adjustment.
