Reliving a Retro Classic: Zzoom

Zzoom transports players back to the dawn of first-person rail shooters, originally hitting screens in 1983. Developed by British studio Imagine, this remastered version revives the action as you pilot a high-tech Ground Skimmer. Your mission? Protect fleeing refugees from relentless adversaries determined to thwart their escape. This experience combines nostalgic gameplay with modern enhancements, appealing to both vintage gamers and newcomers alike.

Key Mechanics in the Ground Skimmer

In gameplay, the Ground Skimmer moves forward automatically, allowing players to focus on aiming and shooting with dual machine guns. As the game progresses, powerful missiles become available, providing strategic options against waves of enemies. Players must guard the refugees as they traverse the screen; every successful crossing saves a life. Balancing offense and defense is key, turning every session into an intense battle for survival.
