Climbing out

Well Up is a first-person climbing game for PC, set at the bottom of a deep, dark well. You climb a single worn rope toward a small circle of light, using separate controls for your left and right hands. Reach up with one hand, release the other, then reach again. You can swing your body to keep your balance and twist the rope to turn.

Knots along the rope can give you another chance if your grip slips. The climb is physical and careful: you move upward inch by inch, managing your hands and position rather than simply holding a button to climb.
