Descent into the gearworks

Unfading Lantern is an action-platformer for Xbox One about a small lantern-bearer descending through an old gearworks. You carry a sword and hammer, and your lantern is your only light. As your health falls, the lantern dims and darkness closes in, tying survival to how much damage you take.

The halls change on every run. Platforms, traps, enemies and hidden passages shift, so you can’t rely on memorizing a route. The descent passes through five zones: the Gearworks, Shadow Cellar, Library, Crystal Vein and Neon Archive. In the Shadow Cellar, your lantern opens pitch-black corridors; elsewhere, you’ll find hazards such as flying tomes and digital guardians.
