Tuftwood : Rug Tufting Simulation

Tufting rugs by hand

Tuftwood: Rug Tufting Simulation is a PC crafting game about running a rug-tufting studio. Neighbors bring commissions, from a sunny-side-up coaster for a café to a frog for a reading nook, and you make each rug from an empty frame through to delivery at the customer’s home.

From frame to finished rug

You stretch cloth over a frame, trace a design with a projector and tuft it from the back, stitch by stitch. Then you check the work against the light, spread glue, press on the backing and cut the rug out. After flipping it for the reveal, you even out the pile with a shaver, carve lines between colors and use a lint roller to clear away fluff.
