Tsukuyomi's Wrath

Action game and premise

Tsukuyomi's Wrath is a single-player, third-person action game for PC, rooted in Japanese folklore. You play Ren, a hired swordsman searching for his sister, Nao, who was seized by officials building a court for the moon god Tsukuyomi. Ren follows the trail of taken workers downriver from Kyoto toward the court off Osaka, as he gets drawn into their effort to return home.

The court’s officials take food and skilled workers from towns along the river. Its ceremonial decks sit above cramped service quarters, and the workers taken there won’t be allowed to leave once it sails. Nao is a boatbuilder and weapon maker, and the people taken with her have families waiting on shore.
