Total Neuroscience

Neuroscience study game

Total Neuroscience is a PC neuroscience study game built around practice questions, lessons, flashcards and mock exams, with two playable games as a bonus. You work through 25 drill topics, from membrane potentials and synapses to neural coding, nerve tracts, pharmacology and sleep. Its 3,700-plus practice items are aimed at course exams, MCAT and Step 1 review, and returning to neuroscience.

Questions and lessons

Many questions use stated physical parameters, such as ion concentrations, fiber diameters or time constants, and ask you to work out their consequences. Their answers are calculated from the same equations, rather than being arbitrary values. Each topic has a lesson covering its rules, common traps and look-alike concepts. The lessons total 281 minutes of reading.
