Total Annihilation

An Epic Conflict in Total Annihilation

In Total Annihilation, players are thrust into a galaxy consumed by a relentless war between two factions, the Core and the Arm. Once united under the promise of peace and technological advancement, humanity’s struggle to exist in a machine-dominated world spiraled into a 4,000-year conflict. The narrative intricately combines themes of rebellion, survival, and the fight for identity in a future where humanity’s essence can be transferred to machines.

The War Between Core and Arm

This war was ignited by a revolutionary process known as "patterning," which allowed human consciousness to merge with machines, offering endless life. The Core, a coalition of human and artificial intelligences, mandated this transfer for public health. In defiance, the Arm formed from humans who refused to abandon their natural bodies. This fundamental rift birthed a cataclysmic battle that decimated worlds over countless generations, turning once vibrant planets into battle-scarred remnants.
