The Sugar Coast is a PC idle economy-building game set on 16th-century Madeira, where you develop the island’s production and trade one hex at a time. You begin with a laurel sawmill and a harbour at Funchal, then fell timber, plant vineyards, salt fish, and grow woad and cane. Goods go to the dock for sale, and you reinvest the money in more buildings and production.

Raw materials feed workshops, which in turn supply exports. Timber becomes planks and pitch, and those materials can be used to build ships. Cane goes to a sugar mill, with molasses passed on to a distillery to make aguardente. Wine and woad become indigo dye. When a building lacks an input, you can check what it needs and adjust your production.
