The Midnight Files: Purged

Forum restoration on PC

The Midnight Files: Purged is a forum-sorting mystery set around a 2006 purge that deleted three years of posts. Twenty years later, a viewer sends The Midnight Files a hard drive containing the forum, frozen one minute after the deletion. The purge log points to quietroom, a member who had been missing since September.

You take the role of a new moderator. To restore a post, drag it to the correct board, then the right sub-board, then its exact place in a thread. The forum has 9,333 posts across seven boards and 37 sub-boards, so sorting means working through all three levels. Restored posts earn Rep and Sealed Cases, which you can use to buy scripts from the forum’s admin and take over more of the filing.
