A text-based roguelike deckbuilder

The Archive is a turn-based roguelike deckbuilder set in an archive of sealed sections, hostile floors and terminals. You fight, dodge and search using cards, and every card in your deck also represents health. Your runs take you floor by floor, with the aim of finding sealed cards and other caches and making it back to a Point of Return.

Cards and survival

When an enemy hits you, cards are destroyed in order: first from your draw pile, then your discard pile, then your hand. Lose the last card and the run ends. You can fight at close range with daggers, spears and swords, or attack from a distance with slings and arrows of fire, water, earth and air. Shields and armor help you take hits; boots and dodge steps let you move out of reach, while Sneak and Invisibility let you slip past unseen.
