Swing Shift

Game premise and mechanics

Swing Shift is a grappling-hook game focused on building momentum. The player navigates through five city districts using a grappling hook, aiming to swing as far as possible. Runs are short and end with a numeric score based on distance. You control the hook's projectile launch and must aim accurately to catch onto surfaces, with every misfire being your responsibility.

Controls

Controlling the game involves focusing on three inputs. The mouse allows you to aim and fire the grappling hook, while the Up and Down keys manage the winch to pull in the rope. The Left and Right keys are used to pump the swing, with the winch being essential for gaining speed during your runs.
