SPATHA

A three-view shooter

SPATHA is a PC side-scrolling shooter with an arcade structure. You pilot a ship through seven worlds, shooting the Ordo’s beasts and collecting the red crystals they carry. The action is shown in three views at once: front, side and top. The front view shows what’s ahead and how far away it is; the side view shows terrain, ceilings and gaps; the top view shows ground lanes, flanks and what’s behind you.

Every enemy, bullet and stone appears in all three views. You choose which view to steer from and switch as the situation changes. Reading the different angles is part of the challenge, alongside learning each stage and chasing a high score.
