Into Angband

Sil-Morë - Shining Darkness is a tactical, turn-based roguelike role-playing game set in the First Age. You play one of its great heroes, descend into Angband, the citadel of the Greatest Enemy, and try to bring back the Great Jewels from the Enemy’s crown. Your hero’s identity is gradually revealed as you play.

Heroes and tactics

Each hero has a distinct identity and strengths, such as physical power, weapon mastery, smithing, or songs. You choose heroes carefully and build your tactics around what each one does well. You can fight through levels of monsters or try to avoid killing them, slipping past enemies unnoticed instead.
